Vivint - Waiting 3 weeks for repair of equipment/not covered for security

I have had 3 times that I had to climb on a step-stool and take apart the security box, disconnect it and type in commands to reboot it. After the third time, the system stopped working. I had to wait 48 hours to get a call from a scheduler to schedule a technician call in 3 weeks. I was told I couldn't cancel my contract but I will not be charged for the days the service is not connected. I have an emergency call button that is inactivated along with my entire security system. I feel that Vivint has not completed its obligations to the contract. I signed up for a security system because I wanted to feel secure and safe. I am without a security system for 3 weeks because Vivint doesn't have enough technicians to schedule them any sooner. Vivint staff report they are doing "the best we can." Vivint needs a better system to resolve technical repairs.
