Vivint - Charging for cancellation

I requested to cancel my service on 04/17/2019 and its now 05/13/2019 and they just charged be another bill , I requested the service to be canceled in time so not be paying for something I do not use , but I guess they will try to get all they can from you up til the end . I would not recommend this service , go with Simple Safe , its better . to me. RW

They waved the debt of the deceased individual, sent it to my name instead even though they my said the account was closed and didn’t exist. 2 years later it shows up on my credit from perfections collections. Who were extremely rude might I add.

Vivint - Ongoing issues- paying for home security that is always having issues.

day 1 The install went well.... system worked good 6 MO later system went down.. service tech was called out after a 2 week wait. tech told us that the 1st tech installed the system incorrect is why it wasn't working. he removed the inside panel from the kitchen wall and moved it closer to the front door. mind you my house at the time was less than 1year old and now left with 1 big hole and couple little holes in the kitchen wall. " vivint wouldn't fix the holes but did give us two months free of service when they where actually supposed to send a check for the repairs. system worked for a little while but started having nothing but ongoing issues. got to the point where I was tired of wasting my time on the phone with support trying to fix the on going issues. got to the point where we wouldn't even use it... basically paying for something that doesn't work. shame on us for not cancelling sooner but thought we where under a 5 year contract "per vivint rep" to only find out that once we paid off all the equipment we purchased EARLY we where no longer on a contract so there for here we are today. Vivint when it worked was great but my experience was not good and now stuck with 2,000 dollars in useless equipment. Pay attention to the finer print especially when you sign the contract... Vivint has no control over the equipment once they install it... it is all through the bank and hold you to the 5 year contract unless you pay it off early... Vivint also didn't want to take owner ship of the original install when it was done incorrectly and caused the holes in my wall. They did in fact give me two months free for the issues. and that is about the only thing good I can say. just all around not a happy customer. I would not recommend VIVINT and actually now have to eat crow cause I did recommend Vivint at the beginning to lots of my neighbors and they bought the system... yes they have issues as well just not as bad as mine.

Vivint - Representatives had me doing electrical wiring on my equipment

Absolutely horrible service provided. The company made me do rewiring on my devices instead of sending someone out to fix the problem. The wait on the telephone waits are ridiculously horrible. This system, the cost, service, horrible customer representatives. This is the absolute worst security company I have ever had the displeasure of paying for the worse service ever. And then to make it even worse, they know that the services is pitiful when they don't even tell you that you have entered into a 6-7 yr contract. Okay, how did that exactly happen? Now they want over $6000 to get out of their security service while we seem to protect our home more than they do. Just let me out of my contract. I have called over 22 times to have a service repair done on my home. By the end of the 3 1/2 hr phone call, I turned into an electrician, and not by choice. I have done more work to secure my home than this company and its worthless devices. I must be confused because my understanding was that the security system was supposed to take care of you, not you babysitting the security system that is never working the way it every should. LET ME OUT OF THIS WORTHLESS CONTRACT THAT I PAY FOR BUT SEEM TO DO MORE WORK THAN THE TECHNICIANS DO ON THE EQUIPMENT. I HATE YOUR SERVICE AND INTEND TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GET SERVICE WITH YOUR COMPANY. JUST LET ME OUT OF MY CONTRACT NOW. WORST SECURITY PROVIDER EVER. I was told all I had to do was call to cancel. I called the very next day and was told to think about it, give it a try and if I still want to cancel call in a week. When I called back I was told it was too late to cancel. I was stuck paying $$ for 3 yrs for something I never used.!!!!!

Vivint - Bad, bad, bad - Buyer Beware

I should've taken note of the comments but was sold by a Best Buy employee during Black Friday sale. Worse decision. I have not used it since it's installation and discovered that I do not receive the system updates, which eventually will not allow your system to work properly. Now Best Buy doesn't sale it through their stores - wonder why? All I can offer to anyone considering this alarm system is "to go elsewhere." Customer service is lacking as well as appropriate technicians.

Vivint Camera Does Not Work

For a year and a half, I have had to call Vivint over a dozen times and still the doorbell camera does not work consistently! Each time I call, they expect me to run back-and-forth from the dorm to the panel—i’m 69 years old! I believe a class-action suit should be filed against them.

Monitor was not on at all time was broke into more times care to say. Was told that cameras would be on 24-7only to find out not so. WAS ON 2 CRUISES BROKE INTO WHILE GONE SYSTEM WAS OFF .. LOTS STOLEN BROKE. POLICE ACTED TREATED ME LIKE WAS CRAZY.

Vivint - Help/ I am on a fixed income

Have not used system or lived in house where system was installed for over 3 months. Called many times to get my system stopped because I did not use it at all .Many times receiving false alarms I just disregarded the alarm but never received any calls from the company. My contract expired in Oct.. I was assured that I would not receive any charges in Nov.but I did. I called company and reminded them that the last 2 that I talked to promised me that I would not have any more charges in Nov..The acct.mgr. asked me if I had sent in an email to stop my service and I told him that I had not because I was not told to.He told me that I was told 2 times.I am 81 years and if I was told I would have remembered. I did recall that all calls might be recorded .

Vivint - HORRIBLE

I agree. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with System hasn't worked since I bought it 6 months ago. Service guys say there is no way to make it work as everything is to far from the main unit. But they will not let me out of contract now even after they told me they would. And you can be sure they are still charging me ever though it wont work. I have hour long phone calls with them due to being on hold for so long. Horrible horrible company. Never again with them. DO NO BUY FROM them. Do research....there are better systems for much much less money

Vivint - Pissed.

I have vivint , we had nothing but bad service from day one they would send technical people out and they could get to work ,one year of run around,been said we were flooded in Harvey and our house was tour down,they don’t understand the house was destroyed we had to build a new house ,now we are getting billed for service we don’t have ,there no cameras no wires nothing it’s all gone with the house . I am a disabled veteran and on a fixed in come now that I had to build a new hous I cannot afford to pay for service ,Since Harvey we took a big loss ,there has been a lot of medical bills lost 5 autos there is just not enough money to go around for something we don’t have
