They use scare tactics and lies. They tell you you are binded to a verbal agreement, which for me was 7 yrs ago.

It is not binding and I have now gotten legal representation to help. Stay away

I was happy with Vivint until I sold my home. The new owners were willing to assume the remaining contract, they wanted a copy of my contract, I requested a copy from Vivint via telephone, they said they'd email it, I requested 5 more times (once each preceding month) yet I never got it. The home sold June 2014, now they've sent to a collection agency 4 times what they originally said ($800 now) I owed and are threatening to sue me. Vivint defaulted and are blaming me for walking away.

Was misled. I do not want yo pay 49.00 dollars to repair panel that is frozen. I was told at time of purchase. There would be no charge for servicing. Not able to trouble shoot from home. Very rude and uncooperative customer service.

This company is a fraud. In July of 2015 I sold my house n moved. I called in to cxl and they asked for a letter. Ok. I sent that in and fast forward to Dec. of 2016. I checked my bank and still see them charging me for service from month to month at $73.30. I called them and check on my cancellation. First Rep. Told me I needed to call in a third time after they got the cxl letter. Then he transfer me to an *** of a Rep in the move department, now she said they no info on my cxl. Wtf. Which one is it? I told her your company stole money from without providing service and no contract renewals. She then told me? Sir. I can transfer to your new house but I cannot help you with the cxl even though it's year and a half you house and your old house we didn't get service. We need another cxl letter and a follow call. Am I in dream land? Wtf? So I called up the bank to file fraud and also will filing a law suit and a complaint with BBB Monday after I get copies of all the charges, letter from owner of my old house, and my service installation with ADt at my new house. Two of my family signed on with vivint from my referral so they will not be renewing with thieves.

you should always contact your states attorney generals office and file a complaint with the states consumer protection department.You can also file online, you will get better results and their business practices will be investigated. The cost is free, your tax dollars pays for this service.

Cancelled service and got service with new company who offered to buy it my contract for remaining amount of approx 500 dollars. Vivint told me they would e-mail an invoice and I could send payment to them when I got the invoice. A few days later I found that they took the entire amount from my checking account without my permission. I called and complained. I asked if an invoice was being emailed and was told they couldn't do that and that they could mail me one which would arrive in about 7 days. I asked why no railhead been sent and why a mailed copy was my sent it yet. I was told that the quickest way I could get reimbursed would be to wait for payment from the new company or vivint could reimburse me but it would take 7 to 10 days. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that a manager could not speed up the process. I was placed on hold for several minutes so I hung up. I called back and this time I was told that they would reimburse my account and could do so in about 3 to 5 days or email me the invoice. I was told they would email the same day. By now I had contacted the new company who offered to send me the 500 dollars and to provide the invoice when I received it. I called vivint back and found out that they had not emailed yet and couldn't for a couple of days. What a runaround and a mess.

That's a crock of ***, i called at 8am and they told me that technical support wasn't open till 9. I was supposed to be in deferment from may to August while looking for a new house. My system was in storage the whole time and they were still charging me $70 a month. Two people said my home was being monitored in June when my system was in storage. I've talked to atleast 15 people and they all have no clue what's going on and keep making notes as they say. I finally got on deferment in August and have been getting emails saying I'm 30 days or 60 days past due but I'm supposed to be in deferment. Have to call them every month and remind them. What a hassle and waste of money. This company is worthless.

The sales representative told us in-house on a Saturday that we had a two week period to cancel the service which was supposed override the three day as noted on the paperwork. He wrote it down but left with the hadwritten paperwork. That all was a tactic. When I called to cancel on the eve of the two week period, I was informed that it was not on record and I had to call the rep back to set the records straight. So, I accept responsibility that we didn't have it written on our record. But vivint played the game on not knowing what other groups within their organization was promising. Customer service said I had to get the confirmation from the rep, the rep blamed it on the installer, and so goes the circle. The sales rep gave me the run around. I called the installer and never got a call back. So I finally called vivint cancellation department to cancel on the two week deadline, but they don't work weekends. Meaning I was now not able to cancel within the two week window. This is a false promise approach and they, by design, locked me into full term contract or I would otherwise have to pay years of penalty. Very deceptive and dishonest practice. I recommend no one use this service. The actual deliverables are not found wanting, but the business practice is classic deception.
