Vivint - Panel replacement

I've called customer service twice and have been cut off twice. The issue is that in replacing the battery pack one of the prongs broke off where the pack plugs into the board. I assume the panel will need to be replaced.

Vivint - Do not do business with them

After eighteen years of stellar performance by ADT I switched to Vivint in large part because of their smart thermostats. 18 months in - and they still dont work. I have two. They cannot be controlled with their smart panel. They cant be controlled by the phone. They do not stay set where I manually (yes I have to set them manually) set them. This morning one thermostat was set on 65 and one was set on 70, neither was what I set. The Vivint model is you trouble shoot your problems in a chat with a technician. So in the past two weeks Ive had eight chats lasting well over ten hours. Nothing changed. Yesterday Vivint finally sent a technician out. He said he couldnt fix it. It looked like a software glitch and maybe when a new version came out, it might fix it. Just an abysmal product with horrendous support. Use anyone else. Get a dog for security.

Vivint - Beware of rude customer service

I was interested in Vivint since I saw the system at a friend's house and it looked like what I was looking for. I filled out an online form before leaving work to head to an appointment. My phone rang while I was on the road. We chatted a bit and said he couldn't lock in my price until I made an appointment for installation. I told him I couldn't make the appointment yet until I look at my budget since his quote was higher than I expected from what my friend said she paid. He demanded I tell him what my friend's name and address so he could check her plan. He told me she was lying about what she paid but he will give me her discount as well. So, then he again pressured me to schedule. I said I wasn't going to schedule now while I'm on the road as I don't want to pick up my phone to look at my calendar (I was using hands-free) and he got agitated and said "Well what is it that you want me to do?" I said, I will be in touch when I can look at the numbers and also at my calendar. He was agitated and said goodbye, even though, I said "Wait" because I had another question. Just a half hour later while at my appointment, someone who sounded the same called and when I told him I couldn't speak right then as I was at an appointment, he hung up on me! They are friendly, but pushy, until they sense any hesitation and then it feels like bullying. I will NOT be looking further into Vivint.

Don't do it. They over charge and don't even tell you. I am being over charges by $40.00 without consent. I don't know how this company is getting away with it. I have filed a complaint with every government agency I can to have these people cancel this contract. Oh, not to mention they feel that it's okay for me to rent faulty equipment that puts my minor children in danger.

Vivint - Impossible to Cancel

I just signed up for an install yesterday and was told that I could easily cancel (even by text) if I changed my mind before the install. I've called at least 10 times today and have yet to talk to a customer service rep. I've waited on hold several times for 6 minutes and longer before I had to hang up to do my actual job. I've texted the guy who sold me the service and he says the only way to cancel is to call that number...you know, the one where you can't reach an actual person. Then I contacted online via support chat and was told to call a different number to cancel. I called that an after 10 minutes on hold, I spoke with a lady who said I needed to contact the NAS NMI department. WTF?? I was told specifically to call the two different numbers that I already called to cancel. I'm getting the run around and it's ridiculous.

Vivint does not accommodate hearing impaired

My mom is hearing impaired and cant hear the alarm and they are still trying to make her buy-out of the contract. Its like paying for car insurance and not having a car. Spent a while on the phone with them today on my moms behalf, and the sacond guy, Casey actually called me by my moms name at the end. They dont care to know who theyre even speaking to. They should figure out a way to add flashong lights to their system to help hearing impaired people feel secure too.

Had an appointment window between 10 and 12. I called Vivint Customer service when Technician didn't appear by 12:20. Representative said technician called me to get into our gated community and left when no answer. Problem is he DID NOT CALL and my iPhone missed call report shows he did not call. Tried to get customer service to tell the technician to turn around and come back, but she refused. Said I would have to reschedule. Tried to reschedule. She said she showed no available appointments in my area and I WOULD HAVE TO CALL BACK next week to try again. They offered a $15 credit for my trouble. Big deal.

Vivint - Pieces of YOU KNOW WHAT !

I just found out that my credit report is showing a bad account from Perfection Collection Aka: VIVINT. The amount is $1327 owed which is a crock of $&@! This f’d up company was supposed to fix all this nonsense years ago. The idiots were charging for money stating that I had gone like a year without paying for my services. WRONG! *** were charging me for services that never existed. Why ??? I never lived at the location they claim. I last spoke to them 2016 and went so far as to mail them proof. I never heard back and now this ?!?!?

There is a class action lawsuit filed against Vivint for doing this a bunch of times. Do a search for Vivint Security Lawsuit and you'll find more information

This is a common practice with them. Victim of this as well.

Got a collections fee from Perfection Collection that is inaccurate and does not exist. I would’ve sued if the amount of money was worth it.
