in 2018 I bought and installed a Vivint Home Security system from my local BestBuy store in Portland. There were problems and disappointments from the very beginning.

They could not install the programmable door locks they told me about and said they expected new locks that would work in my doors in a month to two. They never came. I called and got no followup. Then I cancelled the monitoring service and they informed me that they cannot access the system for troubleshooting or send a technician to help me.

The main control panel has locked up three times, the last two requiring cutting power and removing the panel to disconnect the backup battery.

The doorbell rings but does not show who is there or let me talk to them, the mobile app doesn't connect until way after the person has left the porch. Useless!!
