Misinformation about 3rd- party finance

Third party finance company, 3rd party billing separate from Vivint billing. I am a current customer have been for 8 years, not cool. I am very disappointed I felt I was lied to, I thought I was going to be dealing with Vivint and not some other finance company that I did not want, and it will not happen again.

User's recommendation: Beware of the credit check, it involves a third party finance company, that they don't tell you about, and its an additional bill.

This company is a complete ripoff. They tie you up in a contract with no escape clause.

I installed their system in 2017. Within the 1st year I lost all ability to have monitoring. My doorbell camera stopped working, I was unable to get any assistance from "customer support". I finally decided to go back to my original security company. In 2019 after changing out the equipment I informed Vivint that I want to cancel my account and asked if I needed to return the equipment. The person I talked to said they would take care of the account and that the equipment did not need to be returned. In the meantime 2 years later I find out there is an involved process to cancel and pay off the equipment. Which I no longer possessed.

A guy was in my back yard and my camera is off line ... HELP!!

A guy was casing my house my cameras are down!!! I cant go to sleep without addressing this... Im a single mom with a terminaly Ill child. I have called and called and I keep being transferred to a special account team answering machine!!!

Unable to contact company

3 different installation days before finally completed install. salesman lied and unable to contact company. left messages and they never call you back. very disappointing and they don't seem to care.

Equipment, cameras

The cameras are garbage, they don't have the range they claim to have. Unless, your within 20 feet they don't pick up Also I myself along with delivery people walk right by the cameras, and they do not detect you. #2 the cost of the units are ridiculous, If I had any Idea they would be this useless I never would have taken them. I called for support and they had me resetting and rebooting the cameras, to no avail.

UNTRUTHFUL, WON'T CANCEL ACCOUNT, WON'T STOP TAKING MONEY

I sold my home April 2019, called to transfer the service to new owner never did.... kept taking out of my account. Called several times and no one would help me. Stopped payment on the recurring charges ! That got there attention but only to turn me over to collections after months of trying to explain over and over and over, finally thought it was cancelled in December of 2020 and had to pay 263 to stay off my credit. Well they start in February with recurring charges again. Today I think I have it cancelled by they won't refund me any money. I am filing a lawsuit against them.

When they want to sell stuff they are super sweet. If there are issues after that, good luck trying to get help.

Worse customer service worse company!

I referred someone the then knowing I had a system and I needed to be able to acess both systems. February 20 until now many phone calls text. Being told IT is working on it to be told today it isnt physically possible! Where is my ADT????

Vivint was great when we first installed almost 6 years ago. Weve had the occasional hiccup with service or equipment that has always been resolved. However, we called today after having our panel updated, and it was disappointing. Basically our cameras are outdated...

So others can avoid this company

Over several weeks, I spoke to multiple customer reps, customer loyalty reps, supervisors and received different answers from them all, to the same billing error question. I had been with them since 2016. They are not worth the time, aggravation and frustration. I cancelled them and 5 minutes later I received two emails encouraging me to invite my family and friends to join Viviint...lol....just underscores their incompetence.

VmmMy Vivent system in my house was unplugged and cancelled by phone in June of 2018 and Vivent has been taking money out of my bank account every month since then. That comes to $2598.30 they owe me.

Service disconnected and cancelled by phone in June of 2018. Vivent has been taking money out of my account ever since. Total stolen is $86.61x 30 months= $2598.30

Terrible service

BEWARE! THEY ARE A SCAM! Honesty and integrity are core principles that make a company successful and I have experienced neither with Vivint. I was charged $3400 instead of $600 for their security equipment. It was completely their fault, and they have admitted this in writing, yet I'm still fighting with them to have this charge removed 7 months later! It was dropped down to $1900 and they continue to charge me monthly payments for this incorrect amount on top of the separate and correct $600!! I had to cancel my credit card to stop this scam! Their customer service is the WORST I have ever experienced. Most do not care about my problem whatsoever. The one I could find that does care is unable to fix my problem. PLEASE STAY AWAY! THEY ARE THIEVES! ZERO STARS!!

Was informed to call because my panel needs critical update

My call was handled by Vivint in a professional manner as expected. What Im pissed about is that I unknowingly was signing into a group called Pissed Consumer just by making this call. I thought it was some sort of Vivint pre-screening of my calls purpose. Little did I know I was being assumed to be pissed and being put into this group. Please remove me from this group!

Equipment promised was not installed after visits from 2 tech

Customer loyalty agreed to update my hub(indoor panel) my doorbell; and as incentive for staying with Vivint and signing another contract, he would also include an outdoor security camera. After hours of being put on hold, hung up on, and two techs to my house, the items promised are still yet to be installed. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service. And on top of it all, not pleased with the in and out traffic during the rise of COVID, when simple the loyalty department could have easily advised the tech to install the items, since the original loyalty team member was out.
